Winning bow fights before you have a gun
Spacing, arrow drop and why you should never chase uphill.
Most wipes are decided in the first two hours. This guide covers the route I take from the beach to a two by two with a tool cupboard, and what to do when someone is already camping the road.
The first ten minutes
Hit nodes on the way, not in a loop. You want 1,000 wood and 300 stone before you touch a monument.
- Craft a stone hatchet first, then a stone pickaxe.
- Pick up hemp as you pass it. You need it for the sleeping bag.
- Avoid the road until you have a bow.
Picking the spot
Look for a rock formation that blocks two sides. The fewer open angles a raider has, the more sulfur they spend.
A base that takes one extra rocket to reach the TC is a base that most groups skip.
